History of Garden City Lacrosse | 1936 - Present

Garden City Lacrosse

Starting in the 1930's and continuing each day in Garden City is a rich tradition of teamwork, talent, friendship, coaching, and victory in the game of Lacrosse. Generations have played the game on fields not very far from where the game of lacrosse first got its start. The game has grown, and the equipment has certainly changed, as these pictures show, but the true spirit of the game and the tradition of striving for excellence lives on.

Contributing Editors are working on making much of this lacrosse history available so that we all can easily see what happened in years past as well as retrieve game schedules, players, statistic, photos, and Lacrosse information
from G.C. over sixty year history. As you might imagine it is no small task. One that would not have been possible without the effort of many people over the years. To all of them we are truly thankful.

A special thanks to Jack White who has documented and compiled this information. His devotion to accuracy and love of the sport and sportsmanship will make the documentation of this history possible.

Over the next few weeks the history pages will be posted. The link will be on the home page. If you have any Garden City Lax history you would like to share please let us know through an e-mail.
